Lisbonne Route de Belém
Come and discover Lisbon during a magnificent 15-minute flight around the historic district of Belém and its most important monuments of the capital and the history of Portuguese maritime discoveries. This flight also offers you the opportunity to fly over the Tagus estuary, the beaches of Caparica and the North-West Coast, starting point of the Discoverers to discover the world.
You will have the opportunity to fly over the main monuments of the city namely:
Belém Tower, built between 1514 and 1519 to protect the city. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983 and is one of the city’s flagship monuments.
The Monument of the Discoveries, built in 1960 in homage to Henri the navigator who was Prince of Portugal;
The Monastery of the Hieronymites, built in 1502 by King Manuel I. Inscribed since 1983 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this monastery represents culture and discoveries through the centuries.
Le Pont 25 Avril, the first suspension bridge to cross the Tagus River, named after the day of the Revolution which took place on 25 April 1974.
The Statue of Christ the King, a religious shrine and monument representing the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Inspired by Christ the Redeemer of Rio, it was inaugurated on 17 March 1959.
The rest of your flight will take you over the mouth of the Tagus River. You can enjoy a magnificent view of Costa da Caparica and the beaches of the northwest of the city, departure place of the former Portuguese sailors who were going to discover the world.
